A COMPANY involved in building houses in Braithwaite and Eastburn has launched its latest apprenticeship programme.

Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, which includes both the Barratt and David Wilson Homes brands, launched the search during National Apprenticeship Week.

Barratt Developments has taken on 34 apprentices over the past 10 years and will this year employ another six as part of its Future Talent Programme.

The company said it was committed to developing industry talent by taking on apprentices in a range of disciplines including bricklaying, joining, commercial, technical and buying.

A spokesman said: “The launch of the 2017 scheme strengthens Barratt’s reputation for excellent staff progression, with a number of departments in the company boasting senior team members that have risen from entry level positions.
