SPRING is in the air at Glusburn Institute with the return of two popular events.
The Big Fat Spring Quiz will be held at the arts and community centre on April 28 from 7.30pm.
People can take along their own team of four, or let organisers form them into teams. There will be wide range of rounds including picture and music questions.
The previous quiz in January was attended by more than 100 people and raised £540 for Glusburn Luncheon Club and Fallfest 2017.
The event is ticket-only, at a cost of £6.50 per person including a light supper.
There will be another Funky Flowers workshop on Saturday, April 8, when people can create an Easter bonnet arrangement using natural, seasonal flowers and foliage.
The event runs from 10am to noon, and people should take long scissors, apron and enthusiasm.
The cost for the session will be £20 which includes refreshment, tuition and materials including a basket.
