FARSLEY Celtic midfielder Ross Daly insists that he and his team-mates are looking forward to playing in the West Riding County Cup final – wherever the venue.

After victory over holders Bradford Park Avenue in the semi-finals, the Celts knew they would be facing Tadcaster Albion in the County FA's showpiece following the Brewers' 2-1 win against Brighouse Town in the other last-four tie.

The final has been held at Valley Parade in recent seasons, with Eccleshill United picking up the trophy at the home of Bradford City before Avenue's back-to-back wins in the competition at the same venue.

Farsley's former Avenue midfielder Daly said: "It's great to reach the final and for me it was great to play Avenue in the semi-final.

"It was at Horsfall Stadium and nice to see some old faces that night and not just because we won. I enjoyed going back there as it stirred up some great memories – but we are looking ahead now, not back.

"We will be playing Tadcaster, we know that, but we weren't sure where. It would have been great, as a Bradford lad, to go to Valley Parade to play it but we think its going to be at the County Ground."

Daly and his team-mates are not concerned where it is played but they do know they are in for a tough test.

Everyone at Farsley is aware the club could end the season with a double celebration, as they lead Division One North of the Evo-Stik League going into this weekend before next month's cup final.

But they also know it could turn sour and Daly warned: "The final is a one-off and anything can happen.

"It'll be tough because we've played Taddy three times this season already and every game has been difficult. I know quite a lot of their squad and they are a very good side and a top club.

"If we can win the cup and the title – what a season it would be. It would be brilliant for the great people who work for and run this club and the supporters.

"It would be the icing on the cake for us players but we've won nothing yet and there's a long way to go before we achieve anything."
