EARLY-morning training in school could help a Glusburn girl to national table tennis success.
Hallie Fitton attends sessions with coach Noel Chipman before lessons every Tuesday and after school on Wednesdays.
The year six pupil at Glusburn Community Primary School has now become the North Yorkshire under-11s champion at the sport after competing against youngsters from across the county.
Noel reports that Hallie is extremely talented and dedicated to improving.
She also trains outside of school each Tuesday and Friday at the Haworth Hawks Table Tennis Club.
As North Yorkshire champion Hallie has qualified to compete at the national schools competition to be held at the end of April at Wolverhampton.
She has now been playing table tennis for four years.
In February last year Hallie also won the North Yorkshire Schools’ table tennis individual championships in Harrogate.
She and fellow Glusburn pupils also took part in the West Yorkshire Sportshall Athletics Trials at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre in Bradford.
