A POPULAR series of spring and summer car boot sales in the Worth Valley will return next month, but at a new location.

The Haworth Car Boot sale has previously been taking place on Haworth Primary School's all-weather sports pitches, with shoppers parking outside the nearby village hall and community hub.

But it will now be held on the field outside The 3 Acres pub in Bingley Road, Cross Roads.

Proceeds from the occasion will continue to help fund trips for children at Haworth Primary School.

Event organiser Councillor Alan Woodward, of Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council, said 3 Acres owner Mark Hudson was offering his property free of charge.

He added that sellers and buyers will also be able to use the pub's toilets for free.

Thanking Mr Hudson for his business's support for the venture, Cllr Woodward said: "The sales will again be held monthly on Saturday afternoons, with the first of this year taking place on Saturday April 22 from midday till 4pm. It is £5 per car, £7 per van and entry for buyers is free."

The second Haworth Car Boot sale of 2017 will be on Saturday May 27. Further dates are to be confirmed.
