BRADFORD Park Avenue make a second midweek journey to Darlington 1883 following last Tuesday's postponement – and Mark Bower's men can head north in good heart after back-to-back National League North wins.

Avenue are now six points clear of the drop zone and are tonight looking for the victory that would take them to the 40-point mark, having accumulated only three before Bower arrived at the end of September.

This would not guarantee their safety but it would be a huge psychological boost ahead of games against fellow lower-half teams Alfreton and FC United.

They will be in for a stern test at Blackwell Meadows against the Quakers, who are only three points off third place and would join Halifax and Salford on 64 points with a win.

More importantly, the Quakers would be in the play-off places after a frustrating Saturday when they had to come from two goals down to claim a draw at relegation-threatened Gainsborough.

Trinity remain in the bottom three, six points and three places behind Avenue, but they must have thought they had banked maximum points at the weekend.

Former Horsfall striker Chib Chilaka scored to put Gainsborough 3-1 up but Darlington rescued a point after former Bradford, Scunthorpe and Farsley midfielder Dave Sayers netted a late brace to earn a 3-3 draw.

Also in action tonight are CAMPION and ECCLESHILL UNITED in Division One of the Toolstation Northern Counties East League.

Seventh-placed Campion host Selby, who are 11th, while the Eagles will look to improve on tenth position at home to Yorkshire Amateur, who are three places further back.
