MANORLANDS has received a meaty donation.

The Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice has been presented with a £9,000 cheque by Keelham Farm Shop.

Most of the cash was raised through the business's participation in last year's Mascot Gold Cup.

But money was also coined-in through fundraising activities at the Skipton and Thornton shops.

Victoria Robertshaw, joint owner of Keelham Farm Shop, thanked customers for their support.

Tribute is paid by Manorlands senior fundraiser, Andrew Wood.

"This is a huge donation and it is the second year in a row that Keelham has raised such a brilliant amount," he said.

"We'd like to thank Victoria and the whole team for their support throughout the year.

"This will make a huge difference to the care Sue Ryder provides to people from an almost identical catchment area to that which the two farm shops cover."

This year's Mascot Gold Cup, sponsored by Rotherwood Recruitment, takes place on Sunday, April 23.

The event is again being held as part of the Wetherby races family day.

Keelham will be fielding four mascots – Lamby, Beefy and sausages Hot Dog and Benedict Cumberland.

The Sue Ryder fundraising team is also seeking other mascots to take part. It has costumes available.
