A GLUSBURN school’s latest assembly was out of this world.
Class four at Glusburn Community Primary School delivered an assembly on the theme of space.
Head Richard Hunt said: “The children entertained us with their space-themed presentation featuring singing about aliens’ love of underpants, and the astronaut inspired Bounce Patrol.
“The children have been working hard in class writing information books about planets, whilst in science they have been investigating a problem from NASA: which is the best material to fill the holes in the astronaut gloves?
“Finally we learnt about the visit of the planetarium as the children learnt about star constellations. Well done class four, you are all stars!”
The school football team represented the Craven area in the North Yorkshire finals in Tadcaster, encountering tough competition from across the county and not progressing to the semi-final stages.
Mr Hunt said: “However, the boys have had a great season and I am immensely proud; this is the furthest our school team has ever achieved in a county tournament!”
