A FORMER Airedale Hospital midwife has taken up a new post.
Sara Keogh has been appointed head of midwifery with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Latterly she served with the Harrogate and District trust for three years, but prior to that was at Airedale Hospital in Steeton for two decades.
She became antenatal clinic and assessment manager before moving on to manage the labour ward.
Mrs Keogh said: "I'm delighted to have been appointed head of midwifery at Bradford Teaching Hospitals and am looking forward to the challenge of developing the service to pregnant women across the district.
"My main focus will be on promoting normality in birth and encouraging positive birth experiences, especially for those women at high risk of complications."
She will be based at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
