A FAMOUS hike through the Yorkshire Dales organised by Keighley Scout Service Network will be held on Saturday, April 29.
The Fellsman, now in its 55th year, is a 61-mile trek attracting up to 500 people for a high-level traverse journey ascending 11,000 feet.
Scouts spokesman Chris Driver said the flagship event took a year of planning by a hard-working committee, covering issues such as checkpoints, catering, transport, accommodation and staff.
Chris said: “The fastest time currently stands at just over 10 hours whilst some will be taking up to 28 hours right through the night without sleep.”
Visit fellsman.org.uk for further information for a late entry.
