FROM the West End to West Lane come a host of well-known songs from musicals this month.

Haworth West Lane Baptist Amateurs will present the ‘songs from the shows’ concert with classic numbers from throughout the past century.

Shows range from the Student Prince in the 1920s to Les Miserables from the 1980s.

Along the way there will be equally memorable songs from Calamity Jane, My Fair Lady, Annie Get Your Gun, White Horse Inn, A Chorus Line and West Side Story.

Amateurs spokesman, Ian Dobson, said: “This year, for our spring concert, we bring you some of the best songs from the best musicals from the past 100 years.

“Although our chorus will be entertaining you with songs from the shows, these will be interspersed with solo spots from members of our talented cast – there will also be a chance for you to join in from time to time!”

The concert will be staged at West Lane Baptist Church tomorrow and Saturday at 7.30pm, and also at 2.15pm on Saturday.
