RIDDLESDEN woman Linda Clegg is again holding a plant sale in her village for medical and care charities.
The sale will be in the Riddlesden War Memorial Institute, Scott Lane, on May 21 from 2pm to 4pm.
Over almost two decades the annual sale has raised more than £20,000 for charities such as Breakthrough Cancer Research, Manorlands hospice and Kidney Research.
Helped by family and friends, Linda originally held the event at her own Riddlesden house and garden, but was forced to move to a bigger venue due to its popularity.
This year Holmes greengrocers’ on Hospital Road, Riddlesden, has donated a fruit basket for the raffle as well as plastic baskets for customers to take plants home in.
The sale features home-grown perennials and bedding plants for sale, along with homemade cakes, teas and a raffle.
A separate annual plant sale, hosted by Mavis Clements at her Oxenhope home last month, raised £1,030 for the British Heart Foundation.
