A LAYBY in Haworth has been suggested as a possible designated weekend drop off and pick up point for visiting coaches.
Councillor Gary Swallow, chairman of Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury said this location in Rawdon Road, near Haworth Primary School, could help divert coach drivers away from less suitable spots in the village.
He commented after Worth Valley ward councillor Rebecca Poulsen updated parish councillors on a Bradford Council proposal to turn the space into a disabled parking bay operating between 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday between September 1 and July 31.
Cllr Swallow said he understood this area had been used for coaches in the past.
