A SPECIAL tactile map has been unveiled at Keighley's sight centre.

The map provides a guide to the many services and facilities housed in the two-storey building, at Scott Street.

Sight airedale, formerly Keighley and District Association for the Blind, spearheaded the initiative as part of its 110th anniversary celebrations.

Several charitable trusts helped fund the venture, which cost just under £5,000.

The map, produced by TacMap, was officially unveiled by sight airedale chairman Keith Hardwick Trott.

Guests at the ceremony included Keighley Town Mayor Councillor Shabir Ahmed and Robert Templar, of the Craven Trust, which helped fund the project.

The map is in the Lena Anderton meeting room.
