A NEW strategy focussing on the health and wellbeing of carers is being drawn-up.
North Yorkshire County Council will publish its blueprint this summer, in partnership with the NHS.
Now input is being sought from the public in South Craven ahead of the document being adopted.
Amanda Bloor, chairman of North Yorkshire's health and wellbeing board, said: "We know from previous consultation and engagement that the vast majority of carers are happy to support the person they care for.
"However, people also consistently tell us that their caring role can often affect their own health and wellbeing.
"This joint strategy sets out the ways in which we plan to protect the needs of carers to support them in their role."
The consultation runs until June 23.
