KILDWICK schoolchildren have been exploring British values.
Class four at Kildwick C of E Primary School showcased their awareness of British values in a class assembly.
The youngsters worked in groups to research England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales and presented their findings.
The children also learned about traditional talents in the four countries, which they then presented in the Britain's Got Talent themed assembly.
They showcased poetry, Irish dancing and re-enacted the Highland Games.
Laura Paxford, the class four teacher, said: “The assembly was a great chance to explore our British values further.
“It also gave us the opportunity to discuss topical issues such as Brexit and Scottish independence, which the children approached with maturity and interest."
The Kildwick school’s year three and four tri golf group recently visited Skipton Golf Club where they received coaching and were able to compete against seven other local primary schools.
