A PAIR of election hustings for Shipley Constituency will be held on Tuesday of next week. (May 30)

Both hustings have been organised by the Shipley Feminist Zealots campaign group.

A spokesman for the group confirmed that all four parliamentary candidates for this constituency - which includes Cullingworth and Denholme - have confirmed they will attend the events, which take place in Bingley and Baildon.

The candidates are Conservative Philip Davies, Steve Clapcote of Labour, Sophie Walker of the Women's Equality Party and Caroline Jones of the Liberal Democrats.

The first of the two sessions takes place from 1pm to 3pm in Bingley Arts Centre, Main Street, on Tuesday.

The second will be in the evening of the same day at Baildon Community Link, 35 Cliffe Avenue, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Places must be booked to secure a spot.

People wishing to book tickets to register for either hustings should visit shipleyfeministzealots.org.uk/events/

The Shipley Feminist Zealots spokesman said both events would be welcoming and friendly, and would give people a chance to put their questions directly to the people that want to represent them in Parliament.

She added: "Unlike traditional hustings with speeches, at our hustings people will be able to sit down and chat with the candidates.

"There will be cake, warm drinks and other activities to engage people who attend."
