A MAN is still critically ill in hospital after a fatal crash at Laycock.
The man, who is in his 20s, was among three passengers in a Fiat Punto which left the road and collided with a sign and tree on Wednesday night.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary, where his condition is said to be critical but stable.
The other two passengers, both in their teens, were less seriously injured.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still to release his name.
Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which happened shortly after 11pm.
Anyone who saw the collision or the movements of the vehicle prior to it is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101, quoting log 2127 of 24 May.
