ALTHOUGH the Mewies Solicitors Craven League's executive committee are investigating the abandonment of the Ingrow St John's v Glusburn match in Division Two, which apparently was not a weather-related issue, most clubs mopped up from the early-afternoon thunderstorm and managed to get a result.

In Division One, second-placed Haworth entertained their neighbours Oakworth in a 30 overs per side game.

The hosts posted 151-6, with Damien Rowell (55) and Dan Trowers (48) putting on 94 for the third wicket, but the Cure Hill side were never really in the hunt and closed on 120-9, with Ben Howell (30) top-scoring and Jamie Rowell (3-25) being the best bowler.

Sutton are third after winning by four wickets at Haworth Road.

The Baildon Bottom side made 186-8 in their allotted 35 as Zafar Iqbal (3-26) and James McDonald (3-36) did the damage with the ball.

The Royd Hill side chased this down in 32.5 overs, with Ryan Ridehalgh (70) and Dave Snowden (60no) giving them the platform with an opening stand of 102.

There was a tremendous finish at Beckfoot Lane.

Visitors Ingrow St John's made 195, with Nadeem Safdar making 63, Imran Zaman 56 and 'Mr Extras' 23 as Harry Greenhalgh claimed 3-60.

Chris Dibb (47) and Sam Porter (43) kept Bingley Congs in the hunt, but it seemed a forlorn hope as they stood at 178-9.

Then Greenhalgh joined Tom Parker (24no) and the pair took them to 193-9.

Two were needed to tie and three to win, but sadly they could only score a single and the Saints had won by one run, with Naveed Hussain (4-38) and Deepal Dissanayake (4-30) doing most of the damage.

Richard Taylor (45) top-scored for Denholme as they stumbled to 88 all out at Crossflatts for whom Joseph Lynch took 6-31.

The Ryshworth Park side galloped home by nine wickets thanks to Nathan Bradbury (52no).

Division Two leaders Ingrow were at Sandy Lane and rattled up 194, led by skipper Mark Price (52) and Dan Scott (38no) as Hasnat Bukhari claimed 3-29.

The Greenwood Park side replied with 155-9, with Zeesham Aslam (64) and Tahir Rasheed (32) being the two batsmen to offer most resistance as Price finished with 3-19.

Wilsden's Chris Mitchell went berserk, smiting 14 fours and nine sixes in a superb knock of 141 not out from 83 balls to see his side to 260-5 in their 30 allotted overs.

Shell-shocked Oakworth II were dismissed for 40, with Harrison Houldsworth (4-13) and Sam Mitchell (4-19) having good performances with the ball.

Airedale could only muster 119 against Foulridge at Bradford Road, with Asad Ejaz and Yusuf Mohammed both making 28, with Foulridge then romping to a five-wicket victory.

At Golden View, Long Lee could only muster 133, with Steve Butterfield making 41 and Paul Stowell 32 as Martyn Dalby claimed 5-37.

Visitors Cowling won by three wickets, with Wassim Hussain scoring 37 as Dave Collins took 5-25.

At Street Lane, Ingrow St John's II totalled 199-8, with Azeem Hussain (52), Noman Riaz (43) and Sarum Quereshi (43) doing the business with the bat as Steve Brown took 4-49.

Visitors Glusburn were cruising to victory on 160-0 with Matt Lloyd (92no) and Neil Freeman (54no) at the crease when play was abandoned.
