PEOPLE are being urged to sign-up as police community support officers in Keighley.

West Yorkshire Police have vacancies available for the role of PCSO, with applications being taken between June 26 and July 10.

Candidates do not need any professional qualifications, as all training and support will be provided.

PCSOs are employed as members of support staff and work on Neighbourhood Policing Teams alongside police officers.

It is a role which is designed to tackle anti-social behaviour and other issues affecting the quality of residents’ lives.

The force says PCSOs also provide a visible uniformed on-street presence.

PCSOs have been employed by the force since 2003 and support the work of full-time officers.
