MEWIES Solicitors Craven League Division One leaders Ingrow St John’s were in form at Oakworth.

The Street Lane side amassed 269-5 on the back of a fine 109 not out by Ronnie Chokununga and 34 from Ahtasham Raza.

The hosts' reply closed on 207, led by Jack Davison (82), as Omar Khatab (3-21) was the best bowler.

Second-placed Embsay entertained Barrowford, who made 170, with Shuja Rashid (46) and Shakeel Butt (34) leading the way as Haroon Ali (3-45) and Scott Robinson (3-49) did well with the ball.

The Shires Laners then romped home by six wickets, with Morgan Davies making 59.

Third-placed Haworth went down by 62 runs at Denholme.
The home side, led by Matt Wear (76) and Joe Greenwood (49), made 207-9, and the Bronte side were knocked over for 145, of which Dave Bainbridge (47) and Dan Trowers (30) were the main contributors, with Toby Priestley (4-18) and Isaac Murray (3-35) doing most of the damage.

The bottom-of-the-table clash between Haworth Road and Hepworth & Idle went the way of the latter by four wickets, which meant that they swapped places in the table.

The Baildon Bottom side struggled to 128 as David Myers-Charles claimed 4-39, and the Westfield Road side had wicket-keeper Gary Sager (40) to thank for getting home.

Champions Crossflatts' season goes from bad to worse as they lost to Bingley Congs at Beckfoot and plunge to the bottom of the table.

The hosts made 195 in their 45 overs, with Andy Blackburn (53) top scoring as Alex Bradbury (3-21) and former Congs paceman Mayank Singh (3-26) were among the wickets.

The reply of 171-8 was one of ‘Flatts better efforts of the season, which was led by skipper Dom Bennett (49) as Neil Copping took 4-40.

The top two in Division Two both lost.

Leaders Haworth Road II were out of sorts at The Coliseum as they were shot out for 93, No 10 Rehan Ahmed scoring 33 of those as Attique Khan (3-13) and Martyn Dalby (3-26) were the pick of the bowlers.

The latter then hit 48 to see Cowling to victory by seven wickets.

Second-placed Ingrow were at home to Long Lee and went down by three wickets.

The Hainworth side made 179 with Ben Weatherill (45) and Jack Hoyle (39) the best of the batters as Steve Butterfield took (5-36).

The successful reply was led by Mark Day (42) as Jake Hoyle took 4-66.

This allows Long Lee to close within two points of Ingrow into third place.

In fourth are Ingrow St John’s II, who were jolted by bottom side Oakworth II at Street Lane.

The Saints made 224, with Sarum Qureshi hitting a belligerent 71 and Azeem Hussain 43 as Ollie Stell took 3-30.

The ten-man visitors, who had six under-14s, put some pressure on the home side, especially when Lucas Keslinke (57) and Bilaal Khan (50) were together.

Sadly for them they perished close together, and Qureshi (5-44) mopped up the tail to close the innings on 203-8.

Sandy Lane made a creditable 230-9 on their travels to the Ribble Valley, with Muktar Shah (85no) and Liquat Ali (33) being the main run-getters as Andy Booth (4-30) and Jonny Lockley (3-36) were the best bowlers.

Then Mark Nerenburg (104, including 15 fours and four sixes) and George Stuart (38) put on 107 for the fourth wicket as Chatburn blasted their way 232-7, Callum Spink-Baines weighing in with 41.

Matt Lloyd (56), James Tillotson (39) and Neil Freeman (36) helped Glusburn to 188-3 at Foulridge.

The Noyna side cruised home by seven wickets in the 32nd over on the back of an undefeated fourth-wicket partnership of 117 by Chris Gildea (68no) and Chris Brooker-Carey (38no).

Wilsden also won by seven wickets, at home to Airedale.

The visitors made a modest 120-9, with Sam (4-23) and Ben Mitchell (3-28) doing the damage. Waqas Ahmed (50no) and Chris Mitchell (50) then took the Windy Grove side to the points.

Division Three leaders Cononley recorded a six-run victory at Wagon Lane.

The usually free-scoring South Craven side were pegged back to 109, with Cameron Knowles (44) top scoring as Farhan Khalid (4-26) did the work with the ball.

Andy Dobson (25) was the highest scorer in the unsuccessful reply as Anthony Haigh (4-15) and Knowles (3-27) were among the wickets.

The lead is now six points, with Bradley moving into second spot after a seven-wicket demolition of Riddlesden at Matthew Lane.

Vince Grant (6-26) and James Heseltine (3-9) had the visitors back in the hut for 103, Mohammed Qadeer (48) and 'Mr Extras' (21) being the main contributors.

The day’s best bowling figures of 7-22 were performed by Bingley Congs II' Jonny Teale as Sandy Lane II were dismissed for 80, with Michael Baines (3-20) being the perfect foil.

The Beckfoot side had earlier made 137, with Tim Burnley (31) leading the way as Shabbir Bilal took 5-30.

Martin Chisnall (86no) and Steven Davidson (31) helped Skipton CI to 201-8 at home to Thornton.

The Booth Bridge Lane side were then knocked over for 118, with three batters scoring 28 as John Stuttard (4-24) and Rob Cockell (3-49) doing most of the damage.

Embsay II's five-match unbeaten run came to an end at Barrowford II.

The Bull Holme side posted 170, with Hamil Bakhsh making 33 as Dom Kay claimed 5-20.

The Shires Laners were then knocked over for 130, with Rob Bateman scoring 56.

Eldwick and Gilstead conceded to Gargrave.

Division Four A leaders Sutton took full advantage of their first team not being occupied to include some first-teamers in the ranks, and they had an impact on the game.

The Royd Mill side plundered the day’s highest score of 271-4 at home to Denholme.

Sam Solley (73), George Blackwell (52no) and Craig Thornton (46) were the main contributors. In reply, Chris Dennison hit 72 as the Bradford Road side slumped to 125 in the face of a fine spell of bowling by Mickey Ruddock (6-23).

Cowling II made 181-4 at second-placed Haworth II, with Tahir Mahmood (57) and Afraz Ahmed (41) being the best batters as Jacob Hudson claimed 3-36.

In reply, Neil Rollins (96no) and Danny Spencer (62no) put on an undefeated fourth wicket stand of 151 as the Bronte side galloped home by seven wickets.

Hepworth & Idle II's Mark Davies (102no) and Luke Harland (57) helped their side to 250-8 at home to Foulridge.

The Noyna side then perished for 125 as Mark Harland claimed 5-42.

Another fourth-wicket stand, this time 125 by Josh Dean (104) and Henry Rumboll (40), helped Chatburn II to 236-7 at Airedale.

Dean then took 4-30 as the Keighley side were dismissed for 172, which included 52 from Paul Feather.

Bryan Freimanis (74no and 4-24) was the main man in Crossflatts II's five-wicket victory over Skipton CI II at Ryshworth Park.

Silsden head Division Four B by four points after they crushed Bradley II by 193 runs at Keighley Road.

Tom Berry (119, including 12 fours and eight sixes) and Simon Cox (79) helped the hosts to 256-7, with evergreen John Drake taking 4-34.

The Matthew Lane side then collapsed to 63 all out, with only Callum Patrick (14) reaching double figures as Wil Pullen (3-13), Joe Sugden (3-18) and Keiran Lawrence (3-24) enjoyed themselves with the ball.

Cononley II made 155 at home to Bingley Congs III, with Peter Hatton scoring 54 as Steve Carass took 5-39.

The Beckfoot side got home by two wickets, with skipper Graeme Love making 31 as Hatton claimed 4-44.

Glusburn II's suffered an ignominious 73-run defeat at home to eight-man Ingrow.

Adrian Weatherill (86) saw the Hainworth side to 167-7 but the Park Field side then slumped to 94 all out, with Nick Hoyle (4-21) and Tony Hodgson (3-22) doing most of the damage.

Oakworth III were no match for Wilsden II as they went down by ten wickets at Penistone Park.

Gargrave II took advantage of the first team not being in action against Eldwick and Gilstead to include first-teamers in their ranks, and again they influenced the game.

At Long Lee, Joe Wood (4-26), John Beckwith (3-0) and Thomas Storr (3-45) had the Golden View side back in the hut for 111.

Tanvir Hussain (48) and Jan Haider (36) put on 83 for the first wicket before they collapsed from 107-3, losing their last wickets at 111.
