A KEIGHLEY primary school is celebrating a "fantastic" few months for its young netball players.

Children from Our Lady of Victories (OLV) Primary School have chalked up an impressive series of victories and accolades since spring of this year.

A spokesman for OLV said: "After winning the Keighley Primary School League in April the girls went onto represent our school at the Bradford School Games, which were held at University Academy Keighley on Friday June 30.

"They played extremely well, and were able to finish top of their league before then going on to win the third place play off.

"They were awarded with bronze medals for their achievements.

Paul Booth, head of school at OLV, said: “The girls were magnificent and played really well. It is a fantastic achievement and we are all really proud of them.

"I would also like to thank our staff Rebecca Peers and Claire Bailey for coaching them and transporting them around.”
