THE neglected appearance of a disused building at a prominent spot in Haworth was the subject of concerns voiced at a council meeting.
Councillors at a meeting of Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council, raised the issue of the empty former village fire station, at the junction of Station Road and Bridgehouse Lane.
Cllr Peter Clarke and chairman Cllr Gary Swallow said it was not right for visitors to Haworth to be greeted by a "decaying" building, at what is one of the main entry points to the village.
The retained fire station was shut at the end of 2014 as part of a programme of cost cutting.
