A CHARITY which helps people with cancer and also supports their families is looking to fill vacancies in Keighley and Skipton.
Macmillan Cancer Support wants to recruit a "Lead Volunteer" and a "Support Volunteer" for these locations to provide practical and emotional support to people living with cancer.
The support role will involve listening and talking to people affected by cancer and may include providing some assistance with practical tasks such as light housework or small amounts of shopping.
Training will be provided and the charity is looking for someone who can give a minimum of 12 months commitment to the project.
Among the tasks the lead role will be responsible for will be recruiting and selecting new volunteers, liaising and meeting with the volunteers on a regular basis and maintaining accurate service and volunteer records.
People interested in applying for either of the vacancies can call Sam Jackson at the Volunteering Hub on 01904 756468, or e-mail sjackson@macmillan.org.uk for more details.
