A CYCLIST has been badly injured in a weekend accident in East Morton.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to the incident, which happened on Saturday.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "This is believed to have happened at about 5.30pm on Saturday July 15, when the rider, a 38-year-old man from Bradford, left Otley Road by Smithfield Lodge, while travelling towards Keighley.
"He is believed to have then collided with a stone wall.
"He suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital, where his condition is described as 'stable'.
"Enquiries are continuing and anyone who may have seen the collision or the events prior to it is asked to contact PC 2742 Sandford at the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support team on 101, quoting log 1420 of July 15."
