DARULSHAFA survived a major wobble to reach the Quaid-e-Azam League's Yasmin & Shaid Solicitors Cup final.

Heaton Park had made 125 in the all-Premier Section clash, with Amir Hamza taking 4-14, and Darulshafa were cruising at 92-2 before losing five wickets for five runs.

However, Windhill-based Darulshafa then steadied to reach their target without further loss.

The other semi-final was between joint Premier leaders Bhalot Strikers and third-placed Onq.

Strikers scored 206, with Kamran Hussain hitting 58 not out, but he was put in the shade by Onq's star man Mohammed Jamal, whose unbeaten 73 carried them to a three-wicket victory.

The final is on Sunday, August 13 at Saltaire CC.

Meanwhile, Section A Bradford Moor and league newcomers Style, of Section B, met in the Chefgenie Shield final, also at Roberts Park.

Style's skipper Niaz Khan won the toss and elected to bat, but little else went right for him, apart from in-form Waqas Khan and experienced left-hander Majid Khan putting on 50 for the first wicket.

Moor opened their bowling with spin, and youngster Junaid Jamshed took 4-17 to pick up the man of the match award as Style were dismissed for 144, despite Waqas Khan's 63.

Bradford Moor chased down that total for the loss of only two wickets, with Bilal Ejaz 66 not out and Mustafa Rafiq retiring on 52.
