MORE people from Keighley are getting help with anxiety, stress and low mood thanks to a free NHS service launched by Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Since its launch on January 21 this year, MyWellbeing College has seen almost 5,000 people register for support.

The service is designed for people feeling low, unable to sleep, anxious or stressed.

People from Keighley can refer themselves for any help on offer. This ranges from online courses they can complete in their own homes to getting out and meeting new people in group courses which aim to manage stress and anxiety effectively.

One-to-one sessions are also available.

Gayle Porter, MyWellbeing College manager at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: “It’s great that in such a short space of time we've been able to support so many people and change their lives for the better.

“Factors such as low mood, problems sleeping and worry are normal and problems that can affect us.

“People are now able to register themselves either by phone or by filling in a form on the website, meaning they don’t have to go through their GP and can access us directly."

MyWellbeing College is open to anyone over the age of 16 who is registered with a GP in Bradford, Wharfedale, Airedale or Craven.

People can visit bmywellbeingcollege.nhs.uk to register online, or call 0300 555 5551 for more details.
