KEIGHLEY Sea and Royal Marines cadets are on the crest of a wave after enjoying success in the annual West Yorkshire kayaking regatta.
Able Cadet Charli Weavill won the senior girls’ long-distance race, while Able Cadet Callum Wilson was first in the boys’ event.
Ordinary Cadet Kian Todd was runner-up in the junior boys’ long-distance race, and Cadet Connor Gill took second place in the junior boys’ 400-metre sprint.
The Keighley cadet corps – one of around 400 units across the UK, led by adult volunteers – caters for young people aged ten to 18.
