PARKSIDE School sixth former Chloe Greenwood discovered that where there’s a will there’s a way.

The budding legal eagle from the Cullingworth school won a work experience placement with a solicitor by answering a problem concerning a will.

Chloe attended the three-day Student Pre University Court Exposure (SPRUCE) Course in Bradford and was runner-up in the contest to win three-days working alongside Nicola Briggs of Switalski Solicitors.

Parkside sixth form student support leader Phillip Logan said: "Nicola was so impressed with both the winner and Chloe's entries that she has very generously agreed to host both students for work experience."

Entrants in the contest had to study mistakes in the ‘Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Johnson’.

In a response to entrants, Nicola said everyone spotted different errors and one or two students identified information that was missing.

She said: “I am looking for substantive errors and omissions rather than typographical mistakes. Many clients cannot spell but it is the intention and legal effect of their words that it important.”
