KEIGHLEY Lions past president Carole Boldero has handed over a £1,000 cheque to Yorkshire Cancer Research (YCR).
She has nominated the charity to benefit from her Lady's Appeal during her husband Michael's year of office as district governor.
Mrs Boldero presented the cheque to YCR representative Darren Aldred at a 'welcome home' event, at the Raggalds Inn, Queensbury.
The lunch, attended by about 90 people, was to mark the arrival back in this country of Mr and Mrs Boldero following the Lions international convention in Chicago.
