ORGANISERS of one of the biggest annual events in Yorkshire say they are already on track to smash last year's figure of 21,000 visitors.

Fans from across the UK and Europe have been buying-up tickets in their droves for this year's 13th VW Festival at Harewood House, running from tomorrow to Sunday.

Visitors to the family-friendly event can look forward to vehicle displays, trade and market stands, food stalls, live music and entertainment.

The 2017 entertainment zone features an animal petting area, while for those wanting to get creative there's live graffiti, vehicle displays and chainsaw carving demonstrations.

With this year's theme of ‘Movies’, there’s a cinema-style tent with car-related films being shown throughout the weekend.

VW Festival's annual charity raffle this year has a top prize of a beautifully-restored 1966 Beetle, brought back to life by Slambassador. By buying £3 raffle tickets, visitors will be supporting this year’s charity, Cash4Kids. Last year’s total mirrored the number of visitors with a whopping £21,000 raised.

When you visit VW Festival, you also get access to all of the facilities and entertainment Harewood House has to offer, such as shops, the food courtyard, bird garden and the adventure playground.

Visit vwfestival.co.uk to book your tickets, and if you book in advance, children under 16 get in for free.
