A £1.9 MILLION improvement project is being carried out at a moorland reservoir.
And MP Philip Davies has visited the site to see for himself the work in progress.
Spillways – which help prevent flooding – are being upgraded as part of the scheme, at Graincliffe reservoir, above Eldwick.
"It was a pleasure to see at first hand the investment Yorkshire Water has put into the reservoir to ensure a reliable supply of water and to help alleviate the chances of future flooding locally," said Mr Davies, whose Shipley constituency includes the site.
"The workmanship is first class and this investment is brilliant news for the community."
The reservoir, built in 1885, supplies drinking water for areas including Riddlesden and parts of Keighley.
When full, the structure contains the equivalent volume of water to 170 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
Graincliffe has three spillways, which help control water flows downstream.
