BAILDON Trinity Athletic began their West Yorkshire League campaign with a 2-1 win against Kirk Deighton Rangers in Division Two.
The first half was dominated by Rangers, who deservedly took the lead, but Baildon changed their formation in the second half and were rewarded with a brace from Ben Craven.
Trinity had to soak up a lot of pressure in the last 15 minutes but their defence stood firm.
James Pinto had been on target for Baildon in their last pre-season friendly but could not prevent his team sliding to a 5-1 defeat against Grangefield Old Boys.
