YOUNGSTERS from a Steeton out-of-school and holiday club had a splashing time in Bradford.

The children from the Bridge House Day Nursery and Pre-School club attended a showing of the film Moana on the big screen in Centenary Square, staged as part of Bradford Council's summer events programme.

And then they played in the mirror pool.

"It was one of the best days out ever for the children," said Bridge House senior manager, Donna Barnes.

"They loved the film and the novelty of viewing it in the open air and then they discovered the delights of paddling in the city centre water feature on a summer's day.

"Needless-to-say, they all got thoroughly drenched, so we nipped into a nearby clothes shop to kit them out for the return train journey to Steeton!"

She added: "We'd like to thank the council for staging such a well-organised event.

"It's been one of the highlights of our summer holiday activities and one which we'll certainly repeat."
