FIREFIGHTERS tackled a van blaze in Keighley early this morning.

Crews from Keighley and Bingley were called out to deal with the incident, in Grant Street, shortly before 4.30am.

The Ford Transit was well alight when they arrived.

Two hose reels were used to bring the blaze under control, and one breathing apparatus set was worn.

Firefighters spent about an hour at the scene.

The vehicle was extensively damaged.

"Because of the extent of the fire it was difficult to determine where precisely in the vehicle it had started," said a brigade spokesman.

"The cause is currently unknown."
