MP JULIAN Smith has pledged his support to a charity which helps youngsters who have suffered sexual abuse related to internet or mobile technology use.
He vowed to do what he could to back the work of the Marie Collins Foundation after meeting its founder, Tink Palmer.
She has spent 40 years working with children and families affected by abuse and was awarded the MBE in the New Year's Honours List.
The foundation recently launched Click: Path to Protection, a training programme to enable frontline workers and their managers to better protect children harmed online.
The charity is based in Mr Smith's constituency, which includes South Craven.
"It was very interesting to hear about the vital work that Tink and her foundation are doing in this increasingly concerning field," he said.
"I will do what I can to support her."
