Wharfedale Triangle League Premier Division: Keighley Town 8 Cullingworth Youth 0

TOWN gained their second victory of the season with a convincing win over Cullingworth Youth.

They opened the scoring in the tenth minute from a corner and by half-time had added a further three goals.

Youth had enough of the play but could not put away some excellent chances, while their defending left much to be desired.

The second period saw Town find the net a further four times as Leon Smith ended with a hat-trick, Ryan Stubbs scored twice and Jayden Smith and Gary Shepherd, with a solo effort, were also on target.

Despite having to pick the ball out of his net eight times, Cullingworth goalkeeper Michael Bright was excellent and saved a penalty.

Youth suffered from not playing as a team and they sorely miss last season's leading scorer Chris Mawson and centre back Kyle Fox, who no longer play for them.

Town are at home to Old Ball FC on Sunday, while Youth are away to Leonard FC.
