SPORTY pupils of Glusburn Primary School look set to follow their across-the-board success of the last academic year.
Pupils from the school became the South Craven Primary School Champions
last year in football, cricket, rounders and netball.
Now, in the first event of the new academic year, pupils have raced their way to becoming champions in cross country.
Daniel Crook, Theo Reay and Olivia Aldham came first in their races at South Craven School, following last season’s success representing the whole of Craven at the North Yorkshire finals at Dalby Forest.
The 14 children who finished in the top six in their respective races will now represent South Craven at the Craven Finals in October at Giggleswick School.
They are: Charlie Albone, Summer Kaminski, Lottie Beckwith, Theo Reay, Jayden Wilson, Maxim Syroka, Jaiden Curtin, Leo Kaminski, Daniel Crook, Jamie Leake, Joel Leake, Callum Pepper, Olivia Aldham and Lola Cannon.
