A SILSDEN farming family has rounded-up more silverware.

Allan and Susan Throup and family, of Higher House Farm, won the Masham gimmers show class for the second year running at a top Skipton Auction Mart event.

They were among more than 100 farmers from across the region at the annual gimmer lamb show.

The Throups retained the Kemp Spokes Trophy and their victorious pen sold for a class-leading £102 per head.

The family also took second prize in the class, with lambs in that pen selling for £101 each.

Show judge was Chris Gibson.

Allan Throup's late father, Kenneth, first began showing and selling Masham ewes at Skipton in 1939 and the family has maintained the tradition ever since.
