TALENTED skiier Lucas Ellis has been selected for the Great Britain under-14 squad.
The 13-year-old from Pool-in-Wharfedale will compete in international youth races in Andorra next February.
Ellis was selected for the England Alpine squad last year when he was 11.
He started his skiing with Lions ski club at Snozone Castleford and trained indoors with them for three years before heading to the Alps to train last winter.
He is due to go to Tignes, Savoie France this winter for racing and training with some of the best French skiers in his age group.
Lucas will compete in the Anglo-Scottish Championships in Italy in January, the English ski championships in Bormio, Italy in February.After that he will turn his attention to the British ski Championships in Tignes in April where he his hoping to add to his medal tally.
Ellis said " I am so happy and proud to have been selected to ski for GB. It will be fantastic for me to experience skiing at the highest level internationally for my age and will help me to be a better skier and competitor in the future."
