KEIGHLEY groups are among those waiting to hear whether they will receive £500 from Skipton Building Society’s community funding scheme.
Grassroots Giving has shortlisted 68 community groups across Yorkshire and Humber to share in a £82,000 pot.
These include Glusburn Youth Theatre, Cononley Bowling Club, Cononley Singers, and Silsden Carers, Cared for & Past Carers Group
Local people have until midnight on Friday, October 13 to cast their vote for which community group they think should win £500.
More than 160 community groups, chosen from hundreds of applications across the UK, will each receive £500.
Visit skiptongrg.co.uk or call at any Skipton Building Society branch to cast a vote.
Each group has an online profile on Skipton’s Grassroots Giving website, with information showcasing the work the organisations achieve.
The Grassroots Giving team has also launched a set of free resources to help support all community groups and voluntary organisations in a range of areas from gaining funding to recruiting volunteers.
