SENIOR students in Cullingworth have been raising cash to support people with cancer.

Older pupils at Parkside School teamed up to collect cash to donate to Macmillan Cancer Support as part of its 2017 coffee morning appeal.

A spokesman for the school said: "Every year our sixth form students organise a coffee morning for MacMillan, and each year we raise a little bit more.

"Both students and staff took part in our latest Macmillan Coffee Morning at the end of September, and in total we raised £266. All sixth formers also wore the Macmillan colour of green for the day."

The school has thanked all the students and staff who contributed towards making the day a success.

Phillip Logan, progress leader for the sixth form at Parkside, added: "Macmillan is just one of the charities that we support. Last year we also collected food to deliver to the Salvation Army food bank, in Keighley."
