POLICE have not yet released the identity of a man found dead at the scene of a car fire outside Haworth.
The body of the man, who was believed to have been in his 50s, was discovered in Penistone Hill Country Park, along with the burning vehicle on the morning of Monday October 9.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman this week said: "The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file has been prepared for the coroner."
A Bradford coroners' spokesman confirmed on Tuesday (Oct 17) that their office had not yet received any details about the deceased.
Last week's grim discovery at a spot popular with walkers and tourists prompted a shocked response from Worth Valley councillors.
There was a heavy police presence in the country park in the aftermath of the body being found.
Officers cordoned off part of Penistone Hill while the burned out remains of the car were removed.
