Albion Sports u-18s 2 Steeton u-18s 4

THE young Chevrons continued their winning streak with a hard-fought victory at Albion.

Steeton knew that Sports would be out to avenge an 8-1 defeat earlier in the season but they refused to be intimidated.

On the half-hour mark both sides had a man sent off for violent conduct, left back Tom Ormerod being the Steeton player dismissed for retaliation.

The visitors broke the deadlock when keeper Elliot Wilson's clearance went over Albion's defence and Lee Harwood won the race to the ball and finished neatly.

Harwood made it two shortly after, finishing off a lovely move involving one and two-touch football through midfield. Steeton worked the ball wide to Zain Hussain, who crossed a lovely ball for the on-rushing Harwood to get a deft touch just in front of the defender to finish into the bottom left-hand corner.

Hussain got the third after the break with a bullet of a header from a corner. Albion pulled one back despite Steeton claiming a push on centre half Jack Mcormack.

But Steeton added a fourth from another corner when Dominic Westcott picked out Harry Farnell just inside the box and he volleyed home.

Albion scored their second but it wasn't enough as the Chevrons secured a hard-fought victory.
