THACKLEY under-21s played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Ossett Town in the West Riding County FA League.
Ossett took an early 2-0 lead before Thackley hit back with goals from Josh Taylor and Wilson Ramos, who scored with a fine volley from 20 yards.
A free header put Ossett back in front but, with the last kick of the game, Taylor crossed for Talent Ndlovu at the far post and he headed the ball back for Callum Brewster to score with a stunning overhead kick.
Thackley joint boss Phil Woollias said: “The character the players showed to come back from 2-0 down to draw 3-3 was immense.”
Silsden under-21s beat Harrogate Town 2-1 with goals from Jack Diamond and Luke Baldwin.
However, they then lost 1-0 to an injury-time penalty at Ossett Albion.
Boss Paul Evans said: “We had chances at Ossett with Baldwin’s free-kick hitting the bar and James Harrison’s shot being cleared off the line”.
