DETAILS for this festive season's programme of events in Haworth have been released.

Six weekends worth of entertainments are planned between late November and late December.

The fun begins on November 24 to 26 with Steampunk Weekend.

Visitors and village residents are invited to come and enjoy a masquerade ball, burlesque night, themed stalls, music and hundreds of genre enthusiasts dressed in a range of innovative and outlandish costumes.

December 2 and 3 is Christmas Market Weekend, with many gift and food stalls to be located in Haworth Central Park.

This event also features a festive bar, children's activities and live music.

A popular and atmospheric highlight of the season is Haworth Torchlight Weekend, which this year takes place on December 9 and 10.

The Sunday features the main torchlight procession and carol service.

People can join in with the procession by gathering next to the Christmas tree at the bottom of Main Street at 4.30pm.

They will then make their way up Main Street carrying candlelit torches and singing carols. The procession will be followed by a traditional candlelit carol service in Haworth Parish Church.

On December 14 there is late night shop opening in Main Street, followed by brass band weekend on December 16 and 17.

December 23 and 24 is Nativity Weekend, and will include a Nativity re-enactment parade up Main Street with characters playing the parts of Joseph and Mary.

Dozens of Haworth-based businesses have made donations to ensure the village's Christmas festivities can go ahead.
