A KEIGHLEY GP surgery is inviting members of the public to learn about popular medicines and how they work.
The pharmacy expert will give the talk at Kilmeny Surgery, 50 Ashbourne Road, Ingrow, on Wednesday, November 8 at 6pm.
A spokesman said: “There is a bewilderingly vast array of drugs now available on prescription and it can be hard for patients to understand what is useful and what is essential for them to know about the medicines they have been prescribed.
“The presentation will aim to shed a little light on how groups of drugs work and to provide pointers on how to decipher the Patient Information supplied with.
“There will be a particular focus on the various types of painkillers available both on prescription and at the pharmacy and how and when they can be most effective and beneficial in use.”
