A KEIGHLEY foodbank staged an event as part of Parliament Week.
The Living Lights gathering – at the Church of Nazarene hall on Saturday – showcased how Keighley-based charities, groups and the council can work together to help people in need.
And information was provided on the support available through council services.
Among those present was Keighley West councillor Cath Bacon, who reiterated her commitment to tackling poverty issues in the town.
It was also attended by Asda champion Susie Ramsbottom and Samantha Craven from Pass on Preloved Items, which accepts agency referrals for its nappy bank and services for new mums.
Liz McDonnell, for Living Lights, said: "The event was a great success and we were overwhelmed by the compassion and support shown by Councillor Bacon towards our clients."
