The casualties, who included a 52-year-old woman and a man, were in a silver Toyota Corolla, which was involved in a collision in Cavendish Street late yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened close to the main vehicle entrance to Sainsbury's Supermarket.

Both the man and woman were taken to hospital, but a spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said their injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

Two other vehicles – a black Suzuki Swift and a black Vauxhall Astra – were also involved in the accident, which happened at about 4.20pm.

The incident caused some disruption to traffic in the town centre.

Fire crews from Keighley and Bingley stations, the police and paramedics attended the scene of the crash.
