THREE Keighley primary schools will go online for the second project as part of the Children’s Year of Safety.
Pupils at Laycock, Merlin Top and Our Lady of Victories schools will look at cyber safety during the winter term.
This will follow a successful programme of activities since September looking at improving attendance.
Keighley West Ward councillor Adrian Farley, leading light of the Year of Safety, said all three schools had recorded good attendance through the autumn.
He said: “Now they are looking at getting to bed on time and getting a good sleep. A lot of students say they’re going to bed at seven, but are on the iPads until late at night.”
Cllr Farley hopes the Year of Safety project can be expanded to schools across Keighley, and that churches, community centres and police will also get involved in the online safety activities in 2018.
A logo designed by Our Lady of Victories School pupil Tiannie Jessop is being used on posters and other materials promoting the initiative.
